Silicone Laminated Fiberglass Board: A Breakthrough Material for Class H Ultra-High-Temperature Service

Developed to meet stringent Class H operating conditions (180°C), silicone laminated fiberglass boards are primarily composed of alkali-free fiberglass cloth impregnated with silicone resin. Benefiting from the high bond energy of Si–O bonds, the boards retain over 90% of their mechanical and dielectric strength under continuous service at 180°C or intermittent high-temperature overload, outperforming ordinary epoxy phenolic boards by a substantial margin.

Additionally, the material features self-extinguishing flame retardancy meeting UL 94 V-0 rating and outstanding arc resistance, with a dissipation factor remaining ≤ 0.03 at 180°C. It maintains consistent electrical performance when applied to arc barriers for vacuum circuit breakers, support strips for dry-type transformers, and insulating components used in high-altitude plateau regions. Its surface hydrophobicity effectively resists intense ultraviolet radiation and ozone degradation, ensuring long-term operational safety.
