Everything you need to know about our products and company

The core of purity requirements for electronic-grade silicone resin lies in ultra-stringent control of trace impurities. Clear quantitative specifications are defined for different application scenarios, which directly determine the insulation reliability and long-term stability of electronic devices.

Key Impurity Control Specifications

Metal Ions: For electronic encapsulation grade, the total content of Na⁺ + K⁺ shall be less than 1 ppm, and Fe³⁺ content below 0.5 ppm. High-end semiconductor-grade products require total metallic impurities to be controlled at the ppb level to prevent chip leakage and electrochemical corrosion.

Moisture Content: Conventional electronic-grade grades have moisture ≤ 100 ppm, while ultra-high-purity grades require ≤ 50 ppm, avoiding device delamination caused by moisture volatilization under high-temperature conditions.

Residual Impurities: Volatile organic species including unreacted monomers, cyclic oligomers (D₃, D₄), and residual solvents must be reduced to an extremely low level via advanced devolatilization processes, so as to prevent bubble formation inside components and contamination of optical interfaces.

Anionic Impurities: Corrosive anions such as Cl⁻ and SO₄²⁻ are subject to strict control, with the final aqueous conductivity ≤ 5 μS/cm to eliminate the risk of corrosion on metal leads.

Supporting Test and Control Standards

Leading manufacturers adopt ICP-MS (Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry) to detect metallic elements down to ppb levels, combined with Karl Fischer titration for moisture measurement and GC-MS for residual monomer analysis. A final 0.22 μm terminal filtration is implemented to remove micron-sized particles. Certain high-end products also complete full compliance verification with reference to international standards such as SEMI and IPC.
